It’s not everyday that people associate making a career change and wellbeing – but maybe it should be!
As you get older it’s common to get to a point of feeling burnout or frustration with a role, or an industry that worked for you before, but now, just … doesn’t work for you anymore.
It could be that restructures, industry changes or internal politics have had such a big impact that ‘it’s just not the same anymore’, or maybe now you’re just in a different stage of life and want something different for your work, and you’re really starting to feel it impacting you in other areas of your life – and not in a good way…
It can be tough to make a big change to your career, there can be a lot of uncertainty and worry about making a change to something new, people often ask themselves –
Can I really do it?
Will I earn enough money?
What will other people think?
– so you need to give yourself as many leverage points as you can!
In this week’s podcast episode Shandra explores the idea of using your own Wellbeing to help you reflect on your work situation and to consider what’s working about it, and what’s not.
- her definition of ‘True Wellbeing’
- explores the 3 aspects of Wellbeing
- how you can use each of them to get a different perspective on your potential career change
“Life is not merely being alive, but being well”
